Some members of the Cameroon Red Cross and its partners have received certificates of distinction for their efforts in helping the organisation achieve its objectives.
The ceremony which took place August 19th 2015 at the organisation’s centre was presided over by the President of the Cameroon Red Cross, His Excellency William Aurelien Eteki Mboumoua.
The President used the occasion to outline the organisation’s objectives and achievements so far thanks to collaboration with its partners.
During the ceremony, images of a recent visit to donate basic necessities to victims of the Boko Haram insurgency in the Far North Region were projected.
While saluting the effort of collaborators and partners, H.E. William Aurelien Eteki Mboumoua cautioned that the certificates should serve as a booster for more efforts at a time Cameroon is confronted with insecurity problems, war victims and refugees.
He challenged everyone present to emulate the example of the beneficiaries in order to reach out to the needy.
At the end of the ceremony, members of a six-man committee to control the collection of provisions and donation of blood for victims of the Boko Haram insurgency were installed.
