Cameroon – Tunisia ties strengthened

The Government Delegate of the Yaounde Urban Council, Tsimi Evouna has inaugurated the Tunisia street, “Rue de la Tunisie” in Yaounde.

The street which has been hosting the Tunisian Embassy since 2010 was inaugurated on Thursday 28th November 2014.

During the inauguration, the Yaounde Government Delegate emphasised that the street in Quartier Golf, is symbolic of the friendly ties existing between Cameroon and Tunisia.

Mr Tsimi Evouna also noted that this new name adds up to facilitating the naming of streets in Yaounde.

The Head of the Tunisian Diplomatic Mission, present at the ceremony grounds, expressed gratitude to Cameroon’s Head of State, President Paul Biya for having realised their request.

Meanwhile, it is worth recalling that the Tunisain Ambassador to Cameroon Landoulsi Abserrazak had earlier disclosed the imminent naming of a street in Tunisia, Cameroon street, “Rue du Cameroun.”

The Secretary General of the Ministry of External Relations, Felix Banyu as well as other personalities and Tunisian officials were present at the unveiling grounds.
