Cameroon and Italy reinforce cooperation

The Minister of Public Health, Andre Mama Fouda has granted audience to the Italian Ambassador to Cameroon, Samuela Isopi.

During the audience on 14th October 2014, both parties discussed health issues. The Italian diplomat, Samuela Isopi declared that her country’s government is determined to assist in improving Cameroon’s medical services as well as its educational system.

She also pledged to continue strengthening Cameroon-Italy ties as has been the case over the years.

The audience comes after the Italian Ambassador officially handed over two school buildings and an administrative bloc constructed at the Government nursery school cites verte in Yaounde to the Ministry of Basic Education.

The equipped school infrastructure estimated at forty million CFA Francs was donated by an Italian company, Fererro group within its social assistance programme.

The Minister of Basic Education, Youssouf Adidja Alim saluted the Italian initiative comes to replace the demolished wooden structure of the school constructed by the Parent Teacher Association.

The Italian Ambassador to Cameroon, Samuela Isopi officially handed over the infrastructure to Cameroon.
