The massive and irregular use of foreign workforce by the Vietnamese Company is being investigated by the Minister of employment and formation.

The president of the Board of Directors of Viettel has been seen these days in the corridors of the Ministry of employment and vocational training. This is not a site that Ahmadou Baba Danpoulo usually frequent. It would have effectively met the Minister Zacharie Perevet.

It is as a result of the recent denunciation of the project of the Vietnamese shareholders of Viettel to bring in large quantities Vietnamese workers for entry into the activity of this private telephone operator.

By reading an interview with the spokesman of the president of the Board of Directors in Cameroon Tribune, we have learned that 396 Vietnamese are in Cameroon, to work for Viettel.

The interviewed said he feared the announced arrival of another group of 400 Vietnamese employees. This practice is not in conformity with the labour regulation in Cameroon which favours the use of Cameroonians for available tasks.

The Directorate-General suggests that confidence in the management of the funds cannot be expressed in the case of those coming from Vietnam.

This approach is contested by administrators of Cameroonian nationality. The Minister responsible for employment instructed its Director responsible for the regulation of labor to make a comprehensive study of the situation with recommended solutions.

The Minister of posts and telecommunications should be associated with the resolution of this important social problem. The third mobile operator in Cameroon started its activities in September.
