Cameroon hails Algeria's war efforts

Ambassador of Cameroon to Algiers Claude Joseph Mbafou hailed Algeria's efforts towards the restoration of peace in the different regions experiencing tensions or conflicts, National People's Assembly (Lower House) said in a statement Thursday May 7, 2015.

During the audience granted by Speaker of the Lower House Larbi Ould Khelifa, Mbafou expressed "gratitude" of his country for the permanent support of Algeria for Cameroon, hailing the country's efforts for "restoration of peace in the different regions suffering conflicts."

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of developing them, particularly in terms of parliamentary cooperation and the situation in the African continent, the statement added.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Cameroon requested "support" of Algeria to the representative of Cameroon who is a candidate for the Presidency of the Pan African Parliament expected in May.
