Henri Eyebe Ayissi, Minister delegate in the Presidency of the Republic responsible for the higher control of the State was recently appointed General Secretary of this organization.
The decision was taken during the 13th General Assembly of Afrosai, held from 24th to October 30, 2014 in Egypt. Cameroon will host the headquarters of the African organization of supreme audit institutions of control of public finances.
This charge has to be entrusted to consupe for a period of nine years, renewable. During this work, the post of Secretary-General was vested in the Minister delegate at the Presidency of the Republic responsible for the higher control of the State, Henri Eyebe Ayissi.
Afrosai consists of more than 40 African national institutions, control of public finances. Its objectives are to improve relations among member countries in the field of public audit, despite the differences in political, economic and social systems; meet the need of the Sai (Supreme Audit Institutions) to work together, given the broad spectrum of more cooperation between member countries; contribute to reducing the gap between the different systems, procedures and methods of control of public finances by encouraging the exchange of experiences within the institutions.
It is composed of three regional working groups a: "Arabosai" for Arab countries, "Afrosai-E" for English-speaking countries and "Crefiaf" for French-speaking countries.
