Cameroon increases its oil and gas production

Cameroon 's oil production has increased by 24.58% at the end of April, according to data released Wednesday by the National Hydrocarbons Company (SNH ).

This increase is the result of the rise of a major field regime, but also the start of production in two offshore fields.

Quantities of crude oil sold were established and 5,042 barrels in 4 months, with an average price of about U.S. $ 105.80 per barrel and FCFA 175.67 Billion transferred to the National Treasury after deducting production costs.

Regarding gas production, SNH indicates it stood at 4,343.48 cubic feet during the first 4 months of the current year, against 93.44 million for the same period in 2013.

SNH also announced having earned FCFA 6.49 billion during the first 4 months of 2014 for the right of transit of Chadian oil through the pipeline that connects the country to the seaside town of Kribi, corresponding to a volume of 10 45 million barrels.
