Cameroon prepares for World Radio Communication Conference

Cameroon will take part in the World Radio Communication Conference to be held in Geneva, Switzerland in November 2015.

Ahead of the occasion, officials of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications opened a one-week meeting to discuss and familiarize themselves with laws governing radio communication.

The meeting which kicked off on 17th of August 2015 was chaired by the Inspector General in charge of Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Pierre Kaptue.

During the workshop, officials of the Ministry will update their knowledge in radio communication and develop strategies for Cameroon’s smooth participation in the conference.

Taking place every three to four years, the conference is held to revise the International Telecommunication Union regulations and harmonise radio-frequency spectrum for efficient use.
