The Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary is meeting with members of two American Non-Governmental Organisation, Ark Jammers and Nijart International to discuss plans to construct one of the world’s tallest monuments in Cameroon.

The meeting held on February 8, 2016, centred on the evaluation of potential sites to host the “Mother of Humanity” monument which according to the USA is a gift to celebrate the continent of Africa.

Cameroon was selected amongst the other countries to host the monument, after some lobbying.

The monument to be constructed across a site of about 80 hectares was initiated by Nijart International, LLC, the Mother of Humanity Foundation Inc and some American celebrities to construct the highest monument in Africa. It will be in bronze and of a height of about 95 metres with 29 floors.

The monument christened “Monument of the Mother of Humanity” in honour of Africa and its people who have contributed towards development and peace worldwide.
