Cameroon widens diplomatic horizons with four countries

The Ministry of External Relations has strengthened relations with Algeria, Senegal, France and Nigeria through separate audiences granted to respective ambassadors by its Minister, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo.

The audiences to the three ambassadors; France, Algeria, Senegal and the Nigerian High Commissioner took place on Friday 31st October 2014.

The first to be organized was that between Minister Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo and His Excellency Toufik Milat, the Algerian Ambassador to Cameroon.

It was an opportunity for both parties to revisit the courtship between Cameroon and Algeria.

The second audience of the day was granted to the Nigerian High Commissioner in Cameroon, Her Excellency Hadiza Mustapha who saluted concerted actions in dealing with current security challenges facing Cameroon and Nigeria

She thanked the Cameroon government for opening the borders between Cameroon and Nigeria.

The Minister of External Relations had the last working session of the day with the French Ambassador to Cameroon Her Excellency Christine Robichon and His Excellency Alioune Ndao Fall of Senegal, whom he received at the same time.

The French and the Senegalese ambassadors used the meeting to review and renewed friendship with Cameroon.

The Minister received an invitation for the International Forum for Peace and Security in Africa to take place on 15 and 16th December 2014 in Dakar, Senegal.
