After much publicity about its efficiency and accuracy, a series of unprecedented locomotive failures have disrupted in the services of the Cameroon Railways Company aka Camrail leaving passengers to conclude that it is just another CPDM prominent fiasco.
Sources have revealed that in recent days, Camrail has had disruptions in nearly all its departments including the conveyance of passengers per hour and cash receipts involving the second quarter of the school year.
Our reporter at the Ministry of Transport in the nation’s capital Yaoundé noted that on New Year’s Day alone, major disruptions were recorded on the Ngaoundere-Yaounde service around Ngaoundal towards Makor in the Bawa locality.
Delays have been a regular activity on the Douala-Yaounde Intercity lines...four daily rotations officially commissioned by the Prime Minister and Head of Government Yang Philemon.
However, Camrail remains one of the two most secure means of transportation in Cameroon.
