Car theft on the rise in Douala

Car jack has thus rocked Douala, though it was uncommon in the recent past. Concerned by the hike, security detectives are utilising various strategies to stem the phenomenon.

Recently, some cars were recovered from suspected robbers and a gang of car jackers smashed in some neighbourhoods of the port city.

Men of the Judicial Police in Bonanjo, Douala, in collaboration with operatives in Yaounde, are again bent on recovering a grey Toyota Corolla 107 saloon car said to have been stolen at the Yaounde Central Hospital on August 12, 2015.

The car, which belongs to a certain Martin Tomo Tomo, has registration number NW 193 AI.
