Car washer in Yaounde accused of 1 million FCFA theft

Held since last Friday at the commissariat in Yaoundé, Clement S. was arrested for a crime committed in Bastos.

Clement S. was kept since Friday in the Office of the Commissariat of Yaoundé, for the theft of 1 million CFAF.


20, the young car washer is accused by a customs officer, who had entrusted him his car a few hours earlier.


With confidence, the owner admits to have left him the keys to the car, thinking that the glove box was empty.

And also given that the washer worked on-site in the parking lot of the General Directorate of customs.


Later, the customs officer realizes that he left the money in the vehicle but he figured out that the money had disappeared, together with the washer.


Clement S. returned to the job the next morning. When asked about the disappearance of the money, he denies everything, explaining that he had entrusted this work to a friend. It nevertheless led to the police.
