The Speaker of the National Assembly, Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril has received in audience the Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon, Wei Wenhua.
During the audience on Thursday 29th January 2015, they both revisited Sino-Cameroonian inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The Chinese Emissary used the thirty-minute audience to discuss bilateral relations between Cameroon and his country.
Ambassador Wei Wenhua also told the press that they also held talks on relationships between the parliaments of both countries. He went on to convey greetings from the President of the Chinese Assembly.
The Ambassador promised to uphold and improve on the over four-decade-old bilateral relations existing between Cameroon and China.
This meeting between the Cameroon National Assembly Speaker and Ambassador Wei Wenhua is the first of its kind since the Ambassador took over office and presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic, on 6th January 2015.
