The book “A Profile of Faith and Courage” - How a Leader Is Transforming a University from Good to Great, is a six chapter volume based on celebrating the exploits of a Priest, Reformer and Educationist.

The book authored by Frank Sadate Mwambo an alumni of the Catholic University Institute of Buea (CUIB) paints a colourful picture, to his readers of Rev. Fr. George Nkeze President of CUIB.

Hon. Ayah Paul Abine reviewer of the book stated the author demonstrates in his book that he studied at CUIB and completely understood the vision of the Institution. On the hero, he said the character is passionate about training entrepreneurs who will bring positive changes to the society. With regards to CUIB, Hon. Ayah Paul noted that the Schools operating at CUIB are necessary to propel Cameroon towards achieving vision 2035.

Chief launcher, Gamkong Ney, a CUIB Faculty, Alumni and author told guests during the book launch that writing books come with a lot of commitment and sacrifices.

Gamkong applauded the author for mustering the courage to write and publish his research. Chief Academic Officer and Provost of CUIB Prof. Wilfred Ndongko expressed surprise and satisfaction at the efforts of the author while calling on students to emulate his work.

Another author Tinife Richard, Director of CUIB’s College of Business and Technology, highlighted that it takes courage to write about a figure like Rev. Fr. George Nkeze, saying, it is, however, a great thing as many people do not know about him.

In one phrase, the author said, “It is important to write about our own heroes while they are still alive instead of reading from their funeral program…so that our own people can know about them and their exploits”

The author Frank Sadate Mwambo is an Alumni of CUIB, holding a degree in Food Science and Biotechnology from the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Sadate distinguished himself during his years at CUIB as President of the Student Government Association while backing the CUIB Award for student of the year for Exceptional Leadership among others.
