Central Africa arms arrive at Douala port

A military arsenal made up of 125 military vehicles and spare parts coming from France for Central Africa arrived at the port of Douala, revealed an official statement from the presidency received Wednesday .

Conveyed to the port of Douala by ships flying French flag, this sedentary device is currently under narrow monitoring of the elements of the Cameroonian army indicated the official statement.

It specifies that "on high instructions of the head of State Paul Biya, the Cameroonian army, particularly the troops of the elite of the national gendarmerie was charged to convoy this material from Douala to Bangui.

The material requires the deployment of the consequent sedentary means at the time when militia rebel of Séléka and of anti-Balaka continue to prevail in Central African territory, and the Cameroonian border in the East of the country.

This military arsenal arrives one week after the unloading of the integrated multidimensional Mission of the United Nations for stabilization in Central Africa (MINUSCA), the force onusienne which thus takes over Mission of peace for Central Africa deployed under the aegis of the African Union (MISCA) in December 2013 and of the French force of Sangaris.
