The total number of refugees form the Central African Republic who are now living in neighbouring Cameroon has reached 95,000 according to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

Almost 60 per cent are children.

The majority of people are living with host families, but around 33,000 are sheltering in UNHCR camps.

The World Food Programme (WFP) says a third of new arrivals at the Gbiti site on Cameroon's border with CAR were acutely malnourished.

Meanwhile, WFP has appealed for US$15 million in funding to cover urgent needs until December.
