This would be carried during a four-day vaccination campaign which also targets all Cameroonian children aged 0-10 years.

Following the occurrence of two cases of Wild polio virus in the health district of Kette, among the children of Central African refugees, in July 2014, the regional delegation of the public health, organizes since August 23 a response of free vaccination against this epidemic.

This four-day campaign takes place at the same time in the Adamawa region which also hosts Central African refugees.

Unlike previous campaigns, the current focused on Cameroonian children, zero to ten years for one hand and on the other hand, it will see the vaccination of all Central African refugees residing in these two regions; East and Adamawa, without distinction of age or sex: children and adults.

The team from the regional delegation of health deployed was thus asked to pay particular attention to the border health districts in the Central African Republic. These districts receive a significant flow of refugees or asylum-seekers: Garoua-Boulai, Kette, Kala, Batouri, Kentzou, Ndelele, Gari-Gombo, Yokadouma.

The campaign is supported by partners such as WHO and UNICEF, which have deployed to these regions and the regional health delegation, doctors, experts and consultants.
