The event took place yesterday at the headquarters of the humanitarian association.

Over a sumptuous lunch, accompanied with the sipping of good wine, the cutting of a special cake, the offering of special gifts and the listening to good music, members of the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC) bid farewell to three of its member in the diplomatic wing whose husbands have come to the end of their diplomatic mission in Cameroon.

It was with fond memories and heavy hearts that the wife of the out-going Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon, Mrs Seza Ersan, the wife of the out-going Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Cameroon, Mrs Esther Ela and the wife of the out-going representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Cameroon, Mrs Koko Eugénie Kpodar said goodbye to other members of CERAC. They acknowledged having spent a wonderful time with the association which gave them the opportunity not only to appreciate the hospitality of Cameroonian people but also to assist the First Lady in her humanitarian actions towards the needy people in the society. The out-going members of CERAC took turns to express their gratitude to the First Lady of Cameroon, founder of the association and also to other CERAC members who made them feel at home while in Cameroon.

The General Coordinator of CERAC, Linda Yang, used the occasion to laud the out-going members for their tremendous contributions in meeting the humanitarian objectives of CERAC during their stay in Cameroon. Linda Yang told her departing friends "thank you for your friendship and support, your boundless energy, skill and courage showed in boosting the realisation of projects of the diplomatic wing, the interest shown in the plight of the most vulnerable Cameroonians and for your initiatives to reach out to them".

While telling the departing mates what a privilege it has been to have them in CERAC, Linda Yang invited other members of CERAC to raise their glasses to the good health of Seza, Esther and Eugénie and to that of their spouses! CERAC members used the occasion to do one of the things they love doing when together: which is dancing to the hits of some special songs from artists in Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
