The remains of Mrs. Mboutchouang born Marie Rosette Ndongo Mengolo left the morgue of the Yaounde General Hospital on Thursday, October 16, 2014 in the late morning, where she was kept since last Monday.

In the presence of the presidential couple and Chantal Biya, personalities, relatives of the deceased and other curious, the lifeless body of the one affectionately called "Mama Rosette" was taken to the Notre Dame Yaounde for mass.

Notwithstanding stricter protocol, some professional photographers captured an image of Chantal Biya, illustrious daughter of the deceased, in tears at the side of Mr. Mboutchouang widower, and Paul Biya, the Head of State of Cameroon and in-law of "Mama Rosette."

"It is understandable that the first lady weeps bitterly in public. But we can not tolerate it from her husband, President of the Republic. A head of state should not be vulnerable and fragile in public. On such an occasion, the image of the Head of State is the image of a nation that is in trouble. But a nation must be strong and solid in all circumstances", explains political scientist who requested anonymity.

After Our Lady of Victory Cathedral, the remains were taken to the home of the deceased at Bastos for a vigil.

Burial will take place today in Mvomeka'a in the South, the birthplace of the son of the deceased.
