China’s 65th National Day commemorated in Cameroon

The 65th anniversary of the foundation of the Peoples’ Republic of China was celebrated this 30th September 2014 in Yaounde.

The celebrations organized at the Embassy of the Peoples’ Republic of China in Yaounde gave the Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon Wo Ruidi an opportunity to revisit Sino-Cameroon relations.

His Excellency Wo Ruidi expressed his gratitude to Cameroon’s leader Paul Biya and through him, the people of Cameroon for their hospitality.

The diplomat pinpointed projects executed by the Chinese companies in Cameroon as proof of the good relations and win-win cooperation between his government and Cameroon. Some of these projects include;

•The construction of the Kribi deep sea port

•The construction and renovation of stadia in Limbe, Bafoussam , Douala, Yaounde and Garoua

•The earmarked rehabilitation of the Lake Nyos disaster site

•Other Business transactions rated at more than55 per cent

The Ambassador argued that these and other projects places his government on a positive path as regards contributions to Cameroon’s 2035 emergence dream.

He hopes that China’s support shall be extended to the sectors of energy, extractive industries ,agriculture etc.

Members of government, politicians, Diplomats and friends of China took part in the National day celebration.

On the occasion, Chinese dishes and music added splendor to the ceremony.
