Christmas tree lighted at the State house

States lady Chantal Biya presided over the lighting of the Christmas tree ceremony at the State House.

The traditional lighting of the Christmas tree took place on Friday 19th December 2014 at “Les Coccinelles” Primary school Complex in the State House.

The more than three hours ceremony was branded by some thrilling performances from the pupils such as sketches songs traditional dance and recitations about Christmas.

As the children show case their talent and merriment about Christmas, the first Lady as usual stood beside an ornamented Christmas tree and distributed gifts to more than 96 pupils of the State House primary school, including other children who came to witness the occasion.

Renowned artist - Adonia and the Mballe-Mballe dance group also thrilled the audience on the wonders of Christmas and the blessings it brings.

The occasion was attended by parents, former pupils of the “Coccinelles primary” school and some state dignitaries.
