Claudia Dikosso Has Love to Share

For those who may have considered the invitation lightly, the presence of Beko Sadey and Mama Nguéa in the hall proved that Claudia Dikosso meant business. These two icons of Cameroonian music came to support their "younger sister" during the official presentation of her fourth album to the press in Douala on Thursday January 23.

Titled Ndolo (translated as love in the Douala language) the audio compilation carries four tracks with key messages. Responding to questions from the media, the artist explained that she decided to reduce the number of songs to four, so that her fans would discover and enjoy all. This goes from the remark that her previous albums had only few songs as popular demands. She equally expressed her will to do songs in the English Language, since she is now based in the North West Regional as a result of her marital engagements.

Claudia Dikosso revealed her dexterity in this new product by compiling four different musical genres in all the songs. From one song to the other, the artistes seeks to satisfy the different desires of the public through makossa, bikitsi, traditional essewè and slow rhythms "My main message in all the songs is about love.

I wish my fans to pay more attention to the second track, which calls on parents to let their children marry persons of their choice. Generally, parents become a hindrance especially when the boy is poor, but I believe they should rather encourage and not stop their children's love because of the lack of money," the artiste added.

In respect to a four-year release timeframe, Claudia Dikosso comes in with a new product for her "family". This is inspired by her rich additional experience in her marriage, child birth and new location, which ideas she decides to share with the public especially the youth population. "An artiste does not sing only to make people dance. Rather, we should be able to sensitise the masse about a particular issue that can be of help in their lives," Claudia Dikosso told CT. The four titles are "Osi Soa", "Eding Dzam", "Nuwé" and "Kwè mba dia".
