The regional group led by Sylvestre Naah Ondoua completed their tour in the Centre. Sylvestre Naah Ondoua, vice-president of the Senate and spokesperson for the regional group of senators from the Centre set the stage of the Exchange that took place Tuesday in the urban community of Yaoundé.

More than anything else, the ten members of this Chamber of Parliament wanted to take time to discuss with local elected representatives and officials of the CPDM on the Exchange platform for which a database can be set up. Moreover, it was to see through this collection, how to support the actions envisaged by the decentralized territorial communities.

The problems faced by these local communities included; the issue of the salaries of municipal judges, the absence of a municipal public service, the need for the development of a national strategy of decentralization and the inadequacy of financial resources.

The Senators of the central region welcomed the fact that the communes of Mfoundi are grouped within a Trade Union since 2010. Elie Victor Essomba Tsoungui, president of the Commission of finance and budget for the Senate announced the opening, on 7 October, of negotiations between the World Bank and the national program of participatory development (PNDP) for phase 3 of the program.

The meeting yesterday was also a moment for sharing thanks to the communications that were submitted, with the relationship between Senators and local councilors. F 10.5 million was awarded to the municipalities concerned.
