As CPDM militants in Meme continue to tear selves apart over who takes victory for the presidential decree creating the Higher Technical Teachers Training College, the people of Mbo Barombi in Kumba I, from the Barombi Lake, the main source of the water in Kumba, and one of the areas in Meme division still having a lush forest, have appealed to President Paul Biya to locate the faculty of Tourism and Leisure of that Teachers Training College in the village of Mbo Barombi.

Chatting with this reporter from the South West Governor’s office over phone, Prince Nasako Molondo Daniel said as a CPDM militant from the Division, he equally congratulates President Paul Biya for creating the Higher Technical Teachers Training College in Kumba adding that coming after the Presidents departure from Buea after the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the reunification of Cameroon, the institution is one of the several fallouts of the reunification.

Prince Nasako, who works in the development and council division in the Southwest Governor’s office, condemned the divisive infighting among CPDM militants, appealed to President Paul Biya to locate the department of Tourism of that institution in Mbo Barombi.

Asked whether his request was not a veiled form of infighting, given that he comes from Mbo Barombi, Prince Nasako justified his request by mentioning that Mbo Barombi by virtue of its lush forest and lake is just too ideal to house the faculty of Tourism of that institution.

He further added that the rich flora and fauna of Mbo Barombi, would also assist the students of that institution in their research and internship. Claiming he is neutral and open-minded, he added, the other faculties of the school should be located close to the “natural resources.”
