Over 2000 youths attended an enlarged Youth Forum in Bamenda organised by a faith-based organisation, DRIMP Foundation Cameroon.

Held under the theme “purpose discovery and entrepreneurship”, with a special focus on “get employed by your talent”, the 2000 youths are going to be empowered with values and entrepreneurial skills that will sustain the emerging Cameroon with morals, competitiveness, faith and focus.

Speaking during a press conference to sensitise and mobilise the youths at its SONAC Street office in Bamenda on Wednesday, the General Administrator of DRIMP Foundation, Mr. Roland Nkemasong, said the main objective of the organisation is to train youths between the ages of 17-35 on entrepreneurship in Cameroon. Apart from promoting their talents and creativity, the youth’s capacities will be built on purpose discovery.

Activities the young people involved in included; training workshops on capacity building, theatre, music, sports, entrepreneurship, goal setting and getting and more. One of the major highlight on July 6, at the venue, Bamenda Congress hall, is the handing over of micro project grants to hardworking youths who want to prosper.

Roland Nkemasong stressed that the organisation is non-denominational, non-governmental and apolitical but has values that the youths can imbibe, in order to be good leaders. “We are not a hungry set of people, we are rather trying to make sure the youths in our country are of good material, get employed, and get exposed to the good things of the world that can create employment from must of them who are today wallowing in abject poverty and deprivation”.

Head of communication at DRIMP Foundation said everything has been put in place for a great success of that forum.
