24 hours after the bloody incursion of Nigerian insurgents in Fotokol a town in Cameroonian, the Cameroonian Government has come out to pronounce the casualty figures.

According to Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o the Minister delegate in the Presidency in charge of defence, the Fotokol fights between the terrorists and the coalition of the Cameroonian and Chadian armies, have caused the death of 81 civilians, 13 Chadian soldiers and 6 Cameroonian soldiers.

"I would like to clarify that this balance is likely to evolve because aside those killed, there were many wounded, including very serious casualties". This official review significantly shows that the number of those who perished could be more than the 400 civilians as announced the day before by independent sources.

According to the Cameroonian Government, Boko Haram, which has operated the raid against Fotokol with 800 terrorists, pulls it off with significant losses in human lives.

Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o introduced this official death toll Thursday morning at the Palace of the Congress in Yaounde while he came to preside over the opening ceremony of a meeting of experts from the four corners of the world to reflect on the modalities of deployment of the Multinational Force mixed against Boko Haram. The establishment of this Force had been suggested last week at the last Summit of the African Union in Addis Ababa.
