At the end of the first parliamentary session of the year which took place April 10, 2015 at the Glass Palace in Ngoa-Ekelle , President of the National Assembly (PAN), Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, formulated the expectations of MEPs regarding the transition to digital broadcasting.

The first parliamentary session of the legislative year 2015 ended with oral questions to the Prime Minister, head of Government, Philemon Yang, and the Minister of Communication Issa Tchiroma Bakary. The first was called to speak on the provisions the Government to facilitate the dsplacement to the inhabitants of the major cities of the country. The second meanwhile was called to inform members on the education of girls and their dressing attire.

However, the major issue remained the digital switchover in Cameroon in 2015.

In his speech, closing of the parliamentary session, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril reminded the Government on the quality of the programs: "beyond the benefits that it presents in terms of reception quality, the diversity of the offer of programmes or job creation and wealth, the announced mutation could raise some misgivings.

Failover in either cannot be an opinion. On the contrary, it is a global constraint of productions from various horizons-supported.

It is therefore important that the Government of the Republic put in place mechanisms to encourage domestic production so that we are not simple containers of programs from elsewhere", he said, before adding:"We welcome to this effect the imposition of a development of the audiovisual Fund, to finance projects in this field. Our wish is to see this structure better tomorrow. "
