Police suspected Guibai Gatama, the Director of the publication of l'Oeil du Sahel to belong to the Islamic sect Boko Haram.

"I'm stunned," said the journalist. "Even in its religious, there is a problem. I am Christian and I do not see how Boko Haram, which advocates a strict Islamism, could join a Christian", he continues.

In correspondence dating from the month of June, the General Delegation of national security officials indicate that Guibai Gatama is suspected of belonging to the armed group responsible for kidnappings in the region of the far North.

The document instructed the investigations and a report to the delegate-general for national security in this case including the police believes that the urgency and importance are highly reported.

What could well bring the police to engage in such an approach, that some time just after the Presidency of the Republic congratulated “l'Oeil du Sahel” for his patriotism in the news coverage in the region of the far North, in particular relation to the presence of Boko Haram?

We remember that DGSN had already asked the national Council of communication to sanction the regional back on the events of 6 April 1984.

"I won't believe that there is a relentlessness of DGSN. I think that the police expressed surprise at the quality of our information, but it must rather more work to improve its efficiency. It shows that there is a job to do at the level of the police intelligence," says Guibai Gatama.

Despite the grossness of these suspicions, the journalist is concerned anyway: "I know the area, its realities. I am not an alarmist, the world short of risks in his daily activity, but what it said was that Boko Haram has liquidated others, that's what worries me."

The Director of the publication of “l'Oeil du Sahel” is also reassured by the confidence that make the other segments of the defence and security forces who recognise the professionalism of the journal.
