Some disabled people have marched in the economic capital Douala to protest against the activities of the terrorist group Boko Haram.
The group was made up of cripple on crutches, tricycles and wheel chairs, the blind, the deaf, the dumb and even albinos.
This three-hour march began at the Douala Congress Hall Akwa to the Bonanjo central post office.
The group of handicap and vulnerable persons marched with placards and banners carrying messages of peace and messages condemning the Islamic sect Boko Haram.
Some of the messages read: “Lets bar the way to Boko Haram”, “Let’s emerge in peace and stability in Cameroon”, “No to extremists”, “Let's safeguard our stability” and “Courage to our soldiers.”
The group was received by the Divisional Officer for Wouri 1 who lauded the sacrifices made by these physically challenged groups.
Though it was a forum to speak out their grievances, the handicapped promised to contribute to the peace and stability in Cameroon in their small way.
