Disciplinary board of the public services decentralized

Disciplinary records of public service officers will no longer be processed solely at the Headquarters in Yaounde.

Unscrupulous officials will no longer travel long distances to respond to notices served them by discipline and litigation division of the Ministry of the public service.

"The high hierarchy thought it was good idea to create regional bodies of discipline in order to bring closer the administration of the constituents and the challenge, in the public service," explained Gilles Serges Effoudou Mpande, Chief of division of discipline and litigation at the Ministry of public service.

At the level of the regions, the disciplinary body will be composed of the Governor, who is its Chairman, the regional delegate of the public service, the Chief of division of Legal Affairs and the representative of the administration. These bodies will be installed on November 17 in the capitals of all the ten regions of Cameroon.

For better understanding of the statements of the disciplinary records of public officials, officials of the regional councils of discipline were in a training session Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Yaoundé.

According to officials of the Ministry of public service and administrative reform, this measure aims at modernizing the Cameroonian public service.
