As campaigns enter day four, Hon. Ayah Paul Abine's People's Action Party (PAP) has programmed its Divisional launch midday, September 18, 2013, at the Mamfe Municipal field.

The ruling Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) opened the way last Sunday in grand-style with Prof. Peter Agbor Tabi chairing a Divisional launch of campaigns to capture the four Councils of Manyu and three parliamentary seats in the same Division. Posters, rallies and door-to-door campaigns are the method used by parties to woo voters in Manyu.

Highlights of Manyu's political map confirm three parliamentary positions grouped under Akwaya (1), Eyumojock (1), Mamfe Central and Upper Bayang (1). The four Sub-Divisions have Councils of 25 Councilors each. On the whole, four political parties are competing for votes come 30 September in Manyu Division. While retired Governor Enow Tanjong is heading the CPDM list, Hon. Ayah Paul Abine is leading the PAP list and Benz Enow Bate is piloting the CDP competitors.

As such, only three parties are competing for parliament in Manyu. Meanwhile four parties are digging it out to grab Councils notably CPDM and PAP in Akwaya; CPDM, CDP and ANDP in Mamfe Central; and the CPDM riding alone in Eyumojock and Upper Bayang Councils.

On September 17, Benz Enow Bate's CDP was out on what he told Cameroon Tribune was "a door-to-door campaign". He led a caravan of men and women in party T-Shirts to Akwaya's Kesham Quarters, a neighbourhood of Mamfe, Kembong in Eyumojock, and Bachuo Akagbe in Upper Bayang.
