E.CAM to Encourage Job Creation

An international forum for small enterprises kicks off in Douala on November 17, 2012.

Executive officers of enterprises will receive objective counselling, with the goal to improve productivity, efficiency while encouraging job creation and employment in the country. An international forum for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will hold in Douala from November 17 to 24. It is organised by the new business cartel, Enterprises of Cameroon (E.CAM) headquartered in the economic capital.

Codenamed "PMExchange", the forum which will also take the form of an exhibition at the Bonanjo Party House in Douala has as mission to expose the work of SMEs, upgrade very small enterprises while creating employment opportunities. Protais Ayangma, E.CAM President, qualified the almost 94,000 enterprises in Cameroon in which about 90,000 are concentrated in Douala as engines and creators of employment.

The target is to bring together promoters of SMEs, proprietors of big and very small enterprises, youths with projects, as well as local and foreign investors. Business men see the forum as an opportunity to improve their turnout, contribute to the fight against unemployment and help interested persons in the creation of enterprises. There will be exhibitions, debate conferences and business counselling, among others, during the seven-day business appointment.
