Member countries of the Economic Community of Central African States, ECCAS are meeting in a three-day meeting in Yaounde to reflect on how they can stand up to the challenges in the Millennium Development Goals.
The Regional Bureau of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) organized this meeting so as to identify the needs of African Governments amidst growing security threats and problems of climate change.
During the three-day conclave, UNESCO’s officials will also assess the organisation’s contributions and those of development partners in supporting the ten countries of the sub region.
Focus will also be on the need to prepare the youth of member countries to be peace crusaders.
The meeting is scheduled to run till April 22, 2016.
