Members actively participate in commissions while electoral material is being assembled.

Elections Cameroon, ELECAM the institution in charge of organizing, managing and supervising all election and referendum operations in Cameroon, remain at the fore-front of the September 30, 2013 twin legislative and municipal elections post-polling processes.

Apparently, at the Bastos-Yaounde headquarters of ELECAM, the hustle and bustle have died down but field staff remain actively at work. Dr Thaddeus Menang, Head of Division in charge of Electoral Operations and Referendum said officials in the head quarters were monitoring work of the various commissions.

ELECAM is represented in all commissions concerned with post-voting processes such as the Council Supervisory Commissions for the municipal election, and the Divisional Supervisory Commission and the National Commission for the Final Counting of Votes for legislative election. He said all attention was focused on getting the twin elections results proclaimed. As such, ELECAM officials in the respective commissions provide the elections return reports whenever they are needed.

Besides effective participation in the remaining processes of the twin elections, ELECAM according to Dr Menang is involved in assembling the electoral materials. This mostly concerns ballot boxes and polling booths that have to be collected from polling stations and preserved in most cases at ELECAM council branch offices for use in future elections.
