ELECAM registers 153,000 new voters

The General Manager of ELECAM Cameroon, Mohaman Sani Tanimou has announced that the body has recorded over 153, 000 new voters during the just ended process of reviewing the national voters register.

ELECAM which is actually a segment of the ruling Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement party of President Biya but charged with voters registration in Cameroon, revealed in Yaounde that 40 diplomatic missions abroad successfully registered 5000 new potential voters while 148,000 were done within the national territory.

Mohaman Sani Tanimou said he and his team intend to meet the target 7-8 million voters for the presidential elections in 2018.
