The solemn reopening ceremony of the 2013/2014 year took place on Thursday, October 17, 2013.

Students of National School of Administration and Magistracy, ENAM, have been urged to show proof of humility, discipline and excellence in order to meet the challenges ahead. The Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Michel Ange Angouing made the call on Thursday, October 17, 2013 during the solemn reopening ceremony of the 2013/2014 academic year. The Over 600 students were officially received by the school authorities after a 45-day military training at the military base in Koutaba in the West Region.

Speaking at the occasion, Michel Ange Angouing said the institution has as goal to contribute to the improvement and quality of the public service in Cameroon in order to meet the human and structural needs of the orientations of the Head of State. He called on the new students to benefit from the knowledge being taught in order to reach higher heights and meet the expectations of the government.

Earlier, the audience listened to an inaugural lesson from the Director General of the Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza Foundation, Belinda Ayessa, titled "Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza: Congo and Central Africa; slavery dealer or liberator; colonialist or development agent." The work retraced the facts and presented the truth and gratitude of a people; the Bantou people. The audience also watched two documentaries - one on the military preparatory training in Koutaba and another on the institution, ENAM. What is peculiar this year is that some 30 magistrates from the Republic of Congo will be trained in ENAM. This is in line with fruitful cooperation ties existing between the Republics of Cameroon and Congo.

Christened "Batch of Emergence", the batch has the vision of promoting a prosperous society in future. The event took place in the presence of members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of human rights and justice from Congo, Gabon, Central African Republic, Chad and France as well as guests.
