Assisting in the 4th Summer University on the governance of extractive industries in Cameroon, a parliamentary delegation from Guinea and journalists were blocked Sunday by the Cameroonian authorities in fear of the Ebola virus, says a parliamentary source.

They had to attend a training course organized by the Centre of Excellence for the Extractive Industries governance in Francophone Africa (CEGIEAF), sheltered by the Catholic University of Central Africa (UCAC), with the support from the Revenue Watch Institute (RWI) and the french Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Work which began on Monday 18 will run until August 30. "The Guinean candidates were unable to disembark as a result of the fact that the University refused their access because of the Ebola virus ," according to our source.

The delegation was composed of: Hadja Aisasta Daffe member of the UFR, (opposition party) Souleymane Bah Fisher, Member of the Guinean presidential movement, , Abdallah Baldé, parliamentary reporter, and Géraldine Lamah, an official in the Department of Mines and geology.

The contract of Aboubacar Akoumba Diallo, as a trainer, was terminated by the organizers of the training. Reached by telephone, he revealed that he was notified "not to take his flight".
