The sixth batch of Command Staff Training for Security Forces and the ninth batch of the Operational Command Perfection of the International School of Security Forces, (EIFORCES) have received their end of course testimonials.

The 24 Gendarmerie and Police officers from 11 African countries received attestations after six months for the Command Staff Training, while 15 out of 18 law enforcement officers (Gendarmes and Police officers) from 14 African countries also completed the 9th Operational Command Perfection (level II) course in the Awae- based International School of Security Forces.

The officers upgraded skills in internal and international security, peace-maintenance and tactical command operations, with focus on terrorism and other organised cross-border crimes.

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors, urged the laureates to put into good use the skills they acquired in their respective countries, African Union or United Nations Peace-keeping operations.

Their training, he added, comes at a particular context of national and international persistent terrorism threats. The trainees, he stated, are now able to handle operational command posts of national and international operations.

While expressing gratitude to partners on behalf of the Head of State, Minister Beti Assomo, stated that EIFORCES, created in 2008 by the Head of State, demonstrates Cameroon's determination to contribute to international security and peace.
