Electricity subscription fee reduced by up to 50%

New applicants will now have to pay 50% less. Eneo, Cameroon electricity company announced Wednesday the decline in the rate of subscription to the service it markets.

It is now fixed at 9290 F (instead of 19.565 F) urban and 5300 F in rural areas instead of 9000 F. These prices will however be dependent on related taxes or the concerned services. According to Eneo, this decline on the subscription costs, borne by users decrease by 50% the Bill, which would have been addressed before the reducing decision.

The reduction occurs also in a simplistic tendency. Eneo Cameroon launched indeed, at the same time, the operation "One House, one meter”. It offers potential and former users who seek a social connection and a subscription, a commercial offer from 40,000 payable in several instalments.

The announcement of Wednesday indicated that the service will move to consumers. Particularly in the areas of residence where rule sub-metering used housing for rental and usemetres installed by the company. 15,000 wild users should turn into customers listed by January 2015, in Yaoundé and Douala.
