Bringing life back to normal in Yaounde after the major incident of Saturday night
Yaoundé, November 23, 2014
eneo Cameroon announces that its technical teams continue actions to completely restore electrical service in the neighborhoods and communities affected by the major incident which occurred Saturday night in Yaounde.
For 1 hour this morning the service was restored in 90% of affected areas. The Palace, Ngousso Computer, Ngousso reference hospitals, sports stadium Ngousso, the headquarters, the Embassy of France, the academic Sector of Ngoa Ekelle were replenished.
In total 95% of the Center was served. 95% of the Embassies of the area was rescued. The main station of water distribution, CDE NKOAYOS and water pump relay stations were served.
Here are the areas still off: Etoudi, SANTA BARBARA, Tongolo, NKOLMBONG, EMANA, Messassi, NKOLONDOM, NKOLMESSENG, SOA, Nkolfoulou, Nkoabang, Mimboman, Emombo, Biteng, NKOMO ROAD Mfou, Ekoumdoum part of EKIE, Ekounou, ELIG ESSONO, DISTRICT FOUDA, Part of Mfandena, ESSOS, Nlongkak, ETOA MEKI, EWANKANG, Mvog EBANDA, OBALA, SAA, NTUI, NKOTENG, NANGA, Monatele, Ebebda, OKOLA, AKONOLINGA, Awae, AYOS, Evodoula and their surroundings.
After redevelopment operations that helped limit the impact of the incident on the continuity of the service, repair of the damaged line and secondary works are underway. The goal is to restore supply to all areas still without electricity before 15h.
