Ex-Minister of State could be transferred to Europe if the last examinations by his doctors still reports negative. The family of Marafa Hamidou Yaya has however received this declaration as good news.

The Minister of justice appealed, through his spokesperson, to be flown to a hospital in Europe well equipped to help treat his sickness. This is as a result of the fact that the treating physicians at CHU have not been able to draw up a diagnostic summary of his health condition leading to a declining health status.

In other words, if his doctors "still found nothing" after the health examination carried out on him, July 23, 2014, they should indicate to the Ministry of justice so that public authorities can in turn take charge of the situation.

If the mystery surrounding the specific ailments plaguing Marafa who was sentenced to 25 years in prison and detained since 2012 persists, he could benefit from a medical evacuation to the West. This goes in conformity with a wish from his wife Jeannette on the RFI.

She has fears for the health condition of her husband and called for the intervention of president Obama and Holland to ensure better care for her husband. She also suggested that family and the treating physicians did not have a clear idea of the nature of the ailments suffered by the inmate.

"I am worried for him because if he happened to be in bad condition at the time he was hospitalized, it means that it is very serious."
