Fame Ndongo and proprietors discuss quality education

The Minister of Higher Education, Jacques Fame Ndongo is meeting with Proprietors of Higher Education Institutions (PHEI) from the North West and South West regions.

The two-day conference which begins this 27th April 2015 in Buea shall focus on public/private partnership in higher education.

Emphasis shall be on the recommendations made by the proprietors during a 2014 inspection tour to privately-run institutions carried out by the Minister.

The session is being organised to improve quality and credibility of training from privately-owned institutions of higher learning.

The Ministry of Higher education also considers the session as ideal to update and orientate proprietors on recent policies put in place within the higher educational sector.

The conference is being organised under the theme, ‘Restitution missions of 2014 academic inspections and strengthening the capacities of PHEIs in quality approach.’

Vice Chancellors of the two state Universities in Buea and Bamenda are also taking part in the two-day seminar.
