Fighting Avian Flu: Government receives aid

The Israeli Embassy in Cameroon and the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) have donated laboratory equipment and other material to the Government of Cameroon as contributions in the fight against the Avian Influenza.

The Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries (MINEPIA), Dr Taiga received the parcel during a ceremony on Wednesday,July 13, 2016.

The package includes disinfection material and bilingual sensitisation tracks.

On behalf of Government, the Minister thanked the donors for the gift.

He also indicated that the Avian Influenza is presently under control and order is reigning in the poultry sector.
