The African Union AU, has expressed its support for Cameroon in its fight against Boko Haram insurgence in the three Northern regions of Cameroon.
This was in a communique signed by the President of the Commission, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma who has urged countries in the sub-region to strengthen their corporation in the fight against terrorism.
The communique also extends sincere condolences to families and friends of the brave soldiers who died in the course of fighting the Nigerian sect, Boko Haram.
The Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AU) and head of the AU mission support for the Central African Republic and Central Africa (MISAC), General Jean-Marie Michel Mokoko has condemned in stronger terms the barbarism of the terrorists.
General Jean-Marie Michel Mokoko has also welcomed an announcement on Monday January 12, 2015 by the Government of Cameroon on an attack on Boko Haram in Kolofata, located in the Far North of Cameroon killing 143 assailants.
It is worth noting that the communique is proof of the African Union`s support of moves taken by Cameroon and her counterparts to completely wipe out terrorism in her country and Africa in general.
