Ministers of Foreign Affairs and of Defence of six countries of the Monetary and Economic Community of Central African States, CEMAC, have met with representatives from seven other countries to define concrete measures to fight the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
Cameroon was represented in the meeting that took place in Niamey, Niger on Tuesday 20th January 2015, by the Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo and the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o.
As a resolution from the sect, a notch in coordinating the fight against Nigerian terrorist group, Boko Haram was formed.
During the Niamey meeting it was also agreed that the next session be held in N'Djamena, Chad because of the availability of mixed staff of the regional force in Baga initially based in Nigeria.
It is worth noting that the delegates came from Niger, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, Nigeria, Cameroon and Benin while the representatives from seven other countries were from Germany, Canada, China, Spain, USA , France and the United Kingdom.
