A five-man notorious armed gang specialised in orchestrating holdups in companies in the Littoral, Centre, and South West Regions arrested on Thursday, April 24, 2014, has been transferred to the Military Tribunal in Douala.
The notorious armed men were dispossessed of their weapons, seemingly an arsenal of four locally made guns and two automatic pistols of mark Valtro and Walther, 91 bullets, 13 razor blades, and other heavy duty operating munitions such as industrial hammers which can open any safe, nail cutters, two millstones, a metal cutter, four Toyota vehicles, including an Avensis, with registration number CH 083055, a Rav 4 and two Corollas and a Camtel receipt bearing the company's name, NABCO as exhibit.
The gang members include Marck Cyprian Ndoh alias Ashu Simon and/or Giscard as the underworld linchpin, Stanley Dinga, Ngue Oule Vanasuant, Moses Moto Bile and Iton Terence responsible for selling the stolen items. Their arrests followed a careful and thorough investigation by the Anti-Criminal Brigade of the Judicial Police in Douala that lasted several days.
The story goes that in the night of November 27, 2013, the home of the Assistant General Manager of NABO Beverage Company (NABCO), Indian-born Pandey Shiva Nand, situated at Camp Sic in Limbe in the South West Region was attacked by armed bandits. At gunpoint, the bandits tied up the hands and legs of occupants with a nylon rope, then plundered the home and carted away with FCFA 380.000, as well as 4.000 US Dollars and 8.000 Indian Roupie, including a laptop computer of mark HP, two mobile telephones of mark Black-Berry and Lava iris, three internet modems, a gold chain, and two USB keys, which are yet to be recovered.
The Douala-based company submitted a formal complaint to the Littoral Regional Division of the Judicial Police in Douala on January 20, 2014.
Gang leader Marck Cyprian Ndoh was first of all arrested in Ndobo in Bonaberi on Saturday, April 19. Upon exploitation, Ndoh pinpointed his colleagues in crime who were equally rounded and picked up. Meanwhile one of the suspected bandits Stanley Dinga was arrested in Yaounde on Tuesday, April 22, at the Mendong neighbourhood.
The men of the underworld after formally admitted having carried out the Limbe robbery equally disclosed that they have participated in many other robbery operations in Yaounde, Douala, and Kumba.
