North West Fons’ Union president, Fon Teche Njie (Senator) of Ngyen-Muwa has exposed the dirty activities of some of his colleagues; saying some, in their inordinate quest for gov’t appointments spend most of their time in ‘juju’ houses.

Njie said in 2012, some of the region’s traditional rulers went as far as Nigeria to consult ‘jujus’ in a bid to be appointed senators by the head of state.

The disclosure that took many aback was made last Saturday during a requiem mass organized for the fallen diplomat cum former Secretary of State for National Education, YungaTeghen Joseph.

Speaking at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Njindom, Mbengwi, Fon Teche seized the opportunity to explain how he became one of the pioneer senators in Cameroon.

According to him, while his colleagues (fons) in the build up to the 2012 senatorial elections were consulting Nigerian ‘jujus’ to be elected or appointed as senators, “I rather gave my name to Christ and Christ gave my name to His Excellency, President Paul Biya and Biya appointed me as senator.”

He said while at the senate, he again gave his name to Christ and He in turn influenced his appointment as one of the Senate secretaries.

Stressing that his colleagues who rather turned to ‘juju’ houses to either get elected or appointed saw their hopes shattered, advised North West fons in particular and everybody to table their problems to the Lord if they want meaningful solutions. Amidst standing ovation, he doled out 1MFCFA to support Njindom Catholic Church project.
