Fondation Conde Djene Kaba seeks partnership with FCB

The visiting delegation from Guinea Conakry made the request yesterday at the headquarters of the Chantal Biya Foundation.

Top on the agenda of the visiting delegation from Guinea Conakry on a study tour of institutions founded by Cameroon’s First Lady, Mrs. Chantal Biya, was made known recently at the Chantal Biya Foundation (FCB) in Yaounde.

This was when the Executive Director of “Fondation Conde Djene Kaba pour la promotion de la santé maternelle et infantile,” FCDK-PROSMI, Dr Karfalla Kaba handed a proposal of cooperation between Fondation Conde Djene Kaba belonging to the First Lady of Guinea Conakry and the Chantal Biya Foundation in Cameroon.

While receiving the request from the delegation, the Secretary General of the Chantal Biya Foundation used the occasion to present the activities of the institution which has been in existence for over 21 years with the goal of bringing smiles, hope and assistance to the vulnerable groups of people in the society.

Dr Karfalla Kaba and his colleague, Dr Piou Gamet Beavogui, who is Officer in Charge of Programmes, at the Conde Djene Kaba Foundation, after their visit at FCB, expressed joy at the marvelous work FCB is carrying out which is similar to the objectives of “ Fondation Conde Djene Kaba”.

Dr Karfalla told the press that they will like to sign a partnership agreement with FCB which will help them gain experience on how to create a hospital for children like the Chantal Biya Foundation in Guinea Conakry.

During the visit, it was revealed that the First Lady of Guinea Conakry is UNICEF’s Ambassador for Nutrition, as well as founder of the “Fondation Conde Djene Kaba”.

The Foundation embarks on activities such as running an amusement park for children and nursery school/day care centre, HIV prevention and awareness, offering stationery to keep children from poor families in school and promoting girl-child education.
