The former Balikumbat SDF district chairman, Lecigah Pius has again picked issues with the party for preaching what it does not practice.
In a grand CPDM Ngoketunjia II (Balikumbat) section rally last Saturday, Lecigah Pius, a modern traditional practitioner who decamped to the CPDM with over 100 militants, disclosed that he did so much for the SDF but “I have decided to change camp for the ruling party because SDF this time is not the same party that stood for democracy and most especially for its most cherished slogan of power to the people.”
He said the party is now practicing “power to the pockets” in lieu of power to the people. Lesiga opined that he decided to join the ruling party because it is the only party that can bring development to his Balikumbat constituency rather than militating in an opposition party like SDF which like other opposition parties rather look up to the ruling party which has the knife and the yam.
The Ngoketunjia II section president, Senator Ignatius Dingha Bayern, like Senators Simon Achidi Achu, Francis Nkwain and Emma Lafon who hailed Lecigah and over other 100 decamped SDF militants of Balikumbat for joining the ruling party described their decision as a wise one.
The CPDM senators said Lecigah and the others will benefit enormously for joining the party that brings development to all Cameroonians irrespective of political leanings.
The vice president of the senate, Simon Achidi Achu called on the entire Balikumbat population to join hands with the national president of the CPDM, President Paul Biya to fight a common enemy of the country, Boko Haram and the Ebola deadly disease.
Lecigah and over 100 SDF militants’ change of camp came shortly after some 27 councilors of the SDF-run Tubah council threatened to massively decamp from the SDF should their party hierarchy continues to sideline their mayor, Martin Tanjong from the party.
